What’s the best way to deal with negative thoughts?

I’ve learned that having a negative thought doesn’t mean I have to invite it to stay.

We all have them. Doubts. Worries. The little voice that likes to imagine the worst before anything has even happened.

I’ve found it helps to notice those thoughts without immediately believing them.

Sometimes they deserve attention.

Sometimes they simply deserve a polite, “Thank you for your opinion,” before carrying on with the day.

I’ve discovered that the thoughts we choose to feed are often the ones that grow.

So these days, I try to spend a little more time with gratitude, curiosity and hope.

They make much better company.
