The endings that stay with me are often the ones that aren’t entirely happy, neat, or fair. They’re the ones that leave me thinking long after I’ve turned the final page.

A good book reminds us that not every story ends the way we’d like. Sometimes people leave. Sometimes opportunities are missed. Sometimes things remain unresolved.

Perhaps that’s why the best books feel so real.

We don’t always get to change the ending.

But we do get to decide what we carry with us after it.
