Just Enough Of It

How do you use social media?

I think I use social media a bit like I use a window.

Not something I’m always looking through… but something I glance at now and then, just to see what’s going on.

Some days it’s lovely. Little moments from other people’s lives. A thought, a photo, something that makes you pause for a second.

Other days, it feels a bit louder than I’d like.

I’ve never really been drawn to sharing everything. I prefer the in-between moments. The ones that don’t need much explaining. The ones that feel like they belong to me first, before anyone else sees them.

And I think that’s where I’ve found a kind of balance.

Using it… but not living in it.

Letting it be part of the day, without letting it take over the day.

I suppose that’s all I really want from it.

Just enough.
