Somewhere That Still Feels Like Mine

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I’ve never been very good at answering that question.

Not because I don’t think about the future… but because the more I’ve tried to plan it too precisely, the less it seems to fit when it arrives.

Ten years feels like a long time when you look at it on paper. Enough time for everything to change… and somehow also not that long at all.

If anything, I hope I’m somewhere that still feels like mine.

A place where things are familiar, but not stuck. Where the days have a rhythm I recognise, but still leave room for something unexpected now and then.

I don’t think I need everything figured out.

Just enough to feel steady. A bit of work that matters, people around me who feel like home, and the sense that I haven’t rushed past the things that were worth noticing.

I imagine I’ll still be walking more than I should, stopping for coffee more often than necessary, and taking the long way home every now and then.

And if that’s the case… I think I’ll be exactly where I need to be.

Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋

Don’t miss out on this week’s episode of Return To Mellow Yellow where I take you with me to visit my somewhat dysfunctional little family and friends in Saffron Walden.

So like me! Most of the time I have tried to plan life too accurately, it’s gone in a completely different direction.
