Stirring Up Comfort, One Pasta at a Time

What’s your favorite thing to cook?

Oh, without a doubt — my favourite thing to cook is whatever makes the kitchen feel alive.

I’m not one of those precise-measurement, tiny-spoon, whisper-to-the-oven types. I cook the way Mum always did back in Saffron — a little of this, a splash of that, and a firm belief that if it smells right, it probably is right.

But if I had to pick one thing that truly has my heart, it’s a big, comforting bowl of homemade pasta.

There’s something wildly therapeutic about it. Rolling out the dough, dusting flour everywhere (usually on my face too), and pretending I’m in some glamorous Italian film — when really I’m in socks, hair in a messy bun, and Frank would probably be asking why there’s flour on the ceiling.

I love how pasta is basically a blank canvas.

One night it’s creamy and indulgent with garlic and parmesan.

Another night it’s light, fresh, full of tomatoes and basil pretending I’m being healthy.

And the best part?

You can cook it slowly, sip a glass of wine, dance around the kitchen, and feel like life is beautifully under control — even when it absolutely isn’t.

Mum always says real cooking is about love, not recipes.

I say it’s about vibes, carbs, and dramatic stirring.

Honestly, if the world ever falls apart, just give me a stove, some pasta, and good music, and I’ll be perfectly fine.

Now tell me…

What’s your favourite thing to cook when you want to feel happy?

Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
