What does it mean to be a kid at heart?
To be a kid at heart, darling, is to never let the world make you completely sensible.
It’s keeping that tiny spark of mischief that makes you dance in the kitchen when your favourite song sneaks onto the playlist. It’s believing that pancakes taste better for dinner and that sparkles are a neutral colour.
It means asking why even when everyone else has stopped, and choosing wonder over cynicism, even if people call it naïve. It’s not about ignoring reality — it’s about adding sprinkles to it.
Somewhere between tax returns and grown-up conversations about weather apps, most people forget that laughter can be loud and spontaneous, and that curiosity is just another form of courage.
Being a kid at heart doesn’t mean you’ve refused to grow up — it means you’ve refused to grow dull.
So here’s to the crayons we still carry, the songs we still belt out off-key, and the part of us that still believes in happy endings — or at least, in a really good dessert.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
