If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
I think I’d be Holly Golightly.
Not for the dresses… although I wouldn’t say no to a few of those… but for the way she seems to move through the world. Lightly, on her own terms, never quite belonging to one place for too long.
There’s something in that I’ve always understood.
That feeling of wanting connection… but also needing space. Of being part of things, but not completely tied to them. It’s a balance that doesn’t always make sense from the outside, but it feels right when you’re in it.
I remember having a poster of her on my wall when I was younger. Bit worn at the edges, slightly crooked… but I kept it there for years. I don’t think I realised it at the time, but I wasn’t just looking at a character. I was looking at a way of being.
Not perfect. Not settled. But free in a quiet sort of way.
And I suppose, in small ways, I still am.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
