How has technology changed your job?
Technology hasn’t so much changed my job as it has changed the pace of it.
There was a time when writing felt slower. More deliberate. You had space to think, to let an idea sit for a while before deciding what it wanted to become. Now, everything moves a little quicker. Thoughts are expected to arrive neatly formed and ready to be shared at a moment’s notice.
And yet, the essence of the work hasn’t changed at all.
It’s still about observation. Still about finding something worth saying—and saying it in a way that feels true.
If anything, technology has simply made the distance between thought and audience shorter.
Which is both a gift and a responsibility.
Because while it’s easier than ever to share something quickly, it’s just as easy to share something before it’s ready.
So I’ve learned to treat that immediacy with a bit of caution.
To pause. To consider. To make sure that what I’m putting out into the world is something I actually mean.
Technology may have sped things up…
But I still prefer to take my time.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
