The Power of Not Being Obvious

What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

I’ve always thought the most interesting skills are the ones no one notices.

Not the obvious ones you list on a CV—but the quiet, almost invisible abilities that make life just a little smoother, a little more elegant.

If I’m honest, I’d quite like to have the ability to walk into any room and instantly understand it. The mood, the dynamics, who’s comfortable, who isn’t, and where I fit in it all—without a single word being spoken.

Not to control it. Just to read it.

It’s a subtle kind of power, isn’t it? The ability to adjust without making a show of it. To know when to speak, when to listen, and when to simply let things unfold.

Perhaps it’s less of a “secret skill” and more of a quiet awareness. The kind that doesn’t draw attention to itself, but somehow makes everything feel… easier.

And if I didn’t have that, I suppose I’d settle for always finding the best table in a café without hesitation.

Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
