The Ones That Stay With You

What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?

It’s curious, isn’t it… the idea of choosing something permanent in a world that is constantly changing.

A tattoo, I’ve always thought, is less about decoration and more about intention. A quiet decision to carry something with you — not just for a season, but for all the seasons that follow.

And that, in itself, requires a certain kind of certainty… or perhaps a certain kind of acceptance that certainty isn’t really the point.

I’ve been asked before what I would choose, if I were to have one.

Not something loud, certainly. Nothing that demands attention the moment one enters a room. That has never quite been my way.

If anything, it would be something subtle. Something that reveals itself only when you choose to show it.

A word, perhaps.

Or a symbol.

Something small enough to feel personal… but meaningful enough to outlast the version of me that chose it.

And if I had to decide…

I think I would choose something that reminds me not of who I have been… but of who I am still becoming.

A quiet mark. A gentle reminder.

Placed somewhere just out of sight — the inside of the wrist, perhaps… or along the rib, where it rests close enough to be felt, but not constantly seen.

Because I don’t believe such things are meant for the world.

They are meant for you.

A way of carrying a thought… a promise… a memory… without needing to explain it to anyone else.

And that, to me, is what makes it beautiful.

Not the ink itself…

…but the meaning it holds, quietly, over time.

Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
