Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?
If I had to compare myself to an animal, darling, I suspect the answer would be a cat.
Not the dramatic sort that knocks glasses off tables purely for entertainment — though I confess the temptation has crossed my mind — but the kind that observes the room quietly before deciding where to sit.
Cats have a wonderful balance of independence and elegance. They move through the world on their own terms, yet they always seem to understand exactly what is happening around them. Nothing escapes their notice — even when they appear to be asleep.
I admire that.
A cat doesn’t rush. It doesn’t panic. It simply watches, waits, and chooses its moment.
That feels rather familiar to me.
There’s also a certain appreciation for comfort involved. A well-placed chair, a quiet corner with a book, a warm cup of tea within reach — these are not luxuries to a cat. They are simply the natural order of things.
And frankly, darling, I rather agree.
So yes, if I had to choose an animal counterpart, it would be a cat: curious, observant, independent… and occasionally inclined to disappear for a while when the world becomes too noisy.
Which, as it happens, is exactly what weekends are for.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
