What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.
There is one question I’ve never quite warmed to.
Not because it’s rude, exactly.
And not because it’s terribly difficult to answer.
But because it always seems to arrive with the same quiet expectation behind it.
The question is:
“So… what’s your plan?”
Now, don’t misunderstand me. I admire people with plans. Plans are tidy things. They sit neatly on paper, behave themselves in spreadsheets, and make everyone feel very organized about the future.
The trouble is that life has a curious habit of ignoring them.
Some of the most interesting things that have happened to me came about precisely because the plan fell apart.
A wrong turn led to a better destination.
A missed opportunity opened the door to something unexpected.
And occasionally, what looked like chaos at the time turned out to be excellent timing in disguise.
So when someone asks me what my plan is, I usually smile politely and give them something sensible sounding.
But privately, I’ve come to believe that life isn’t something you plan perfectly.
It’s something you participate in.
And if you keep your eyes open and your curiosity intact, the next step tends to reveal itself soon enough.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
