What skills or lessons have you learned recently?
There’s something humbling about realizing how much you don’t know — and oddly comforting, too.
This year, I’ve learned that rest is not a luxury, it’s a strategy. That sometimes the bravest thing you can do is take your foot off the pedal and breathe.
I’ve learned that a rusty old van can carry more meaning than a brand-new car. That the people who drive you up the wall are often the ones who’d show up when your world is falling apart — with a dodgy garden tent and a six-pack.
I’ve learned that there’s power in letting go of being right all the time. And even more power in saying: “I’m sorry.”
And finally: when someone quotes a song lyric at you in the middle of a meltdown — maybe they’re not trying to be funny. Maybe that’s just the only language they know for how they feel.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
