Do you trust your instincts?

Darling,
the short answer is yes — mostly because my instincts have far better track records than my plans.

Every time I’ve meticulously organised my life (colour-coded calendars, adult-looking spreadsheets, the lot), something unhinged happens — a cancelled train, a surprise invitation, an unexpected opportunity wearing questionable shoes — and suddenly I’m off following a feeling instead of the plan.

And do you know what?
The feeling usually wins.

Instincts have a way of nudging you toward the things you didn’t realise you wanted: the detour café with the perfect croissant, the conversation you almost didn’t start, the “why not?” moment that spirals into something lovely.

My brain can be persuaded.
My instincts?
Unbothered. Unmoved. Unapologetically opinionated.

So yes — I trust them.
Not because they’re always right,
but because they’re always mine.

And when in doubt, Darling,
quiet the noise, take a breath, and listen.
That little tug in your chest?
It usually knows exactly where you’re meant to go.
