How do you celebrate holidays?
Darling, think of them as sequins scattered across the calendar — little glimmers that catch the light and make time slow down, just enough for us to notice the beauty in it.
I don’t go for chaos or countdown clocks. Holidays, for me, are less about grand productions and more about sacred pauses — moments wrapped in cinnamon-scented air and soft laughter.
The ritual begins early, like a whispered secret:
The first note of holiday jazz on the record player. A candle lit just because. The clink of the “special” teacups that only come out when the mood insists on being a little bit extra.
I dress the house as if it’s preparing for a curtain call — fairy lights strung like pearls, old ornaments unwrapped like love letters from past Decembers, and a table that always leaves room for one more chair. Because, darling, holidays are for gathering — and gathering, for me, always leaves space for the unexpected guest.
And while the table sparkles, the pace slows. I step out of heels, slip into something soft, and let the hours breathe. There’s time to linger, to toast to nothing in particular, and to laugh until the laughter becomes its own soundtrack.
Because holidays aren’t about perfection — they’re about presence. About pressing pause on the whirl, just long enough to remind ourselves: this is what the glow is for.
So yes, that’s how I celebrate: with a little sparkle, a lot of softness, and a house that smells like cinnamon and second chances.
And you, darling? Do your holidays arrive like confetti cannons — or like a sigh of velvet and candlelight?
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
