Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.
Darling, if I could slip one little jewel of wisdom back into the pocket of my younger self, it would be this: You don’t have to rush to be radiant.
For so long, I thought the only way to move forward was at full tilt — heels clicking like castanets, calendar packed to the brim, always chasing the next “next.” I thought slowing down meant falling behind. But what I didn’t realize then was how much life sparkles in the in-between — the pauses between heartbeats, the moments between one sip of coffee and the next, the breath you take before saying yes.
I wish I had known that saying no doesn’t make you less. It makes room for the right yes.
That resting isn’t weakness; it’s what keeps your light from burning out.
That you don’t have to prove your worth by how much you can carry — sometimes grace is putting the bag down altogether.
The truth is, life isn’t a runway race. It’s a dance floor. And you can glide, spin, pause to catch your breath, and still be utterly dazzling.
So now, when the world tries to sweep me up in its whirlwind, I slip on my lipstick, take one deep, unhurried breath, and remind myself: You can go slower and still shine.
And you, darling? What’s a lesson you wish had come wrapped in sequins a little sooner?
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
