How often do I walk or run?
Darling, not as often as a fitness tracker would like… but far more often than my heels would recommend.
I walk almost every day — not in a neon-sneaker, stopwatch-timing sort of way, but in the “slip on my sunglasses, turn my face to the breeze, and pretend the sidewalk is a Parisian runway” sort of way. Walking is how I reset my rhythm, like shaking a snow globe and watching the glitter settle again.
Some mornings, it’s a brisk strut with a latte in hand, thoughts clicking faster than my heels. Other days, it’s slower — a meander through tree-lined streets, pausing to admire the way sunlight drapes itself across brick walls like silk.
And running? Well, let’s just say it’s reserved for two scenarios:
• Flight delays (where I’m racing through airports like a panicked gazelle in red lipstick).
• The occasional burst through rain when I refuse to let my blowout surrender without a fight.
But whether it’s a power walk or a graceful glide, movement clears the cobwebs. It’s thinking-in-motion. I return taller — not just posture-wise, but spirit-wise.
So no, I don’t chase miles. I collect moments. Each step is a punctuation mark in the story of my day — some are brisk exclamations, others soft ellipses. And that, darling, is why I walk: not to burn calories, but to burn brighter.
And you? Are your steps sprints, strolls, or something fabulously in between?
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
