A Hundred And Three Posts Later, Here’s Why I’m Still Here

Why do you blog?

Darling, some mornings I ask myself the same thing — usually while my coffee is still half asleep and my hair is negotiating with gravity. And yet, the answer always comes back to me, clear and sparkling.

I blog because words have always been my dance floor. They let me twirl, leap, and stumble in ways my two left feet never quite could. Writing is rhythm — one that keeps me steady when the world feels wobbly.

I blog because stories connect us. Every time I sit here tapping away, I imagine someone out there — maybe with their own cup of coffee, maybe sneaking a read on a lunch break — nodding, smiling, or whispering, “Yes, me too.” That invisible thread? That’s magic.

I blog because glamour deserves to be celebrated in the everyday. Not red carpets, but red lipstick on a Tuesday. Not gala gowns, but the sparkle of glitter catching the sun on a rainy walk home. Blogging lets me remind myself — and hopefully you, darling — that beauty isn’t reserved for grand occasions. It’s in the mess, the routine, the smudged mascara, and the swing skirt that makes you late because you couldn’t resist a twirl.

I blog because it keeps me accountable to joy. Left to my own devices, I might forget to notice the little things. But when I sit down to write, I go hunting for them — the moments that would otherwise slip by unnoticed. Blogging keeps me awake to my own life.

And finally, I blog because of you. Yes, you. Because every time you read, every time you comment, every time you share a sliver of your own story back — it feels less like writing and more like conversation. And darling, I do love good company.

So why do I blog? To stay alive to my own sparkle, and to share it, in case you need a reminder of yours.

Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
