Goals, Glitter, and a Game Plan

How do you plan your goals?

When it comes to goals, I refuse to treat them like dusty to-do lists or sterile spreadsheets.
Goals, for me, are like couture dresses — they need to fit me, flatter me, and make me want to walk a little taller.

Start with the “why”

If a goal doesn’t have a heartbeat, it’s just busywork in a nicer font.
I always ask: Why do I want this? If the answer doesn’t make me feel something — excitement, curiosity, maybe even a little fear — then it’s not worth my time.

Make it a vision, not a punishment

I don’t set goals to “fix” myself; I set them to expand myself.
Instead of “I need to work out,” it’s “I want to feel strong enough to dance until midnight without needing to sit down.”
Instead of “I need to save money,” it’s “I want the freedom to say yes to adventures without checking my bank balance twice.”

Break it into champagne-sized steps

Forget giant leaps — I like glittering, bite-sized milestones.
If my goal is writing a book, my first step might be: Write one beautiful paragraph I’m proud of.
If it’s launching something new, it might be: Have coffee with someone who’s done it before and soak up their wisdom.

Keep it visible

I’m not above sticky notes on the fridge or a scribble in lipstick on my bathroom mirror.
If my goal isn’t in my line of sight, life’s noise will bury it faster than yesterday’s headlines.

Build in joy and reward

Every milestone deserves a little celebration — a walk in the park, a glass of champagne, or yes, that candle I’ve been eyeing.
It’s not bribery, darling; it’s motivation in fabulous packaging.

Stay fluid

Life throws curveballs. I’d rather adapt than abandon. If a goal needs a new outfit, I tailor it.
The end result should still make me proud, even if the path there looked nothing like I expected.

Review like it’s fashion week

Once a month, I sit down — coffee in hand, playlist on — and ask: Is this still my dream, or am I chasing someone else’s? If it’s still mine, we keep going. If it’s not, it’s out.

Because here’s my secret — goals aren’t about reaching the end; they’re about becoming the person who can.
And if I can do that while wearing red lipstick and a killer pair of heels, well… that’s just good planning.

Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
