Are you a leader or a follower?
Honey… I’m a dancer.
And dancers know it’s never just that simple.
See, I’ve led. I’ve followed. I’ve twirled out of turn, improvised mid-step, and once turned a swing-out into a full-blown solo because my partner froze and I refused to waste good music. True story.
But if you’re asking what I am by nature? I lead. Always have.
Not because I’m bossy (okay, sometimes). Not because I need control (okay, often). But because something in me rises up when there’s silence, and says, “We’re not just going to stand here, are we?”
I lead when no one knows what to say.
I lead when the energy is flat and someone needs to throw the glitter.
I lead when no one’s willing to be the first to look ridiculous so others can feel brave.
But here’s the twist, darling — being a great leader means knowing when to follow.
To let someone else shine. To surrender to a rhythm you didn’t choose. To be led by love, instinct, music… or a dance partner with arms like poetry.
So yes, I lead.
But I follow when trust is earned.
I follow when the moment calls for it.
I follow when the music says close your eyes — I got you.
Because leadership without humility is just noise.
And following without choice? That’s just choreography without soul.
So what am I?
I’m Luce, darling. I show up, sparkle first, and if there’s a gap in the rhythm, I fill it.
Sometimes with direction.
Sometimes with surrender.
But always — always — with fabulous.
Stay fabulous,
Luce 💋
